How did you research Atlantic Shift ?
The New York parts are all based on various different trips to that
city. Like so many visitors, I've loved New York since I first went
there and it was wonderful to write about it. I've also got a couple of
friends there who were able to advise with fact checking. The London
parts were obviously much easier as I was living in Britain at the
time. I used to play the cello myself, so it was a great pleasure to
write about that. At the beginning the main character, Evie, lives in a
house I used to live in in Greenwich, and her mother live in the house
my parents used to live in in Bristol.
